Bohning developed Cool Flex with carbon arrow shafts in mind. The flexible adhesive resists cracking after repeated target impacts. This helps keep arrow components securely in place during regular shooting.

Cool Flex also works with aluminium and fibreglass shafts. Therefore, it offers a versatile option for archers who build or maintain several types of arrows.

The low-melt formula has a melting point of 280°F or 137.8°C. It requires heat during installation but cures once it returns to room temperature. This normally takes around five minutes.

One of the biggest advantages of Cool Flex is easy component removal. Hot water softens the adhesive when you need to adjust or replace a point, insert, outsert or pin bushing. This reduces the need to apply high levels of heat directly to the arrow.

Application is straightforward. Carefully heat the adhesive and apply a small amount to the component. Insert the component into the shaft, position it correctly and allow everything to cool to room temperature.

Each stick contains 12 grams of adhesive. You only need a small amount for each installation, making one stick suitable for multiple arrow-building and repair jobs.
